We love a hands-off supper, and this salmon and potato skillet is only that. In only 45 minutes, you'll have a simple, scrumptious, and filling dinner that can be modified each time you make it.

This basic fundamentals combo was motivated by my granddad's number one dinner of canned salmon and reddish brown potatoes seared in an enormous cast-iron skillet. To give it my own bend, I went for a new skin-on filet of salmon rather than canned, and waxy child blended potatoes rather than dull russets. Fortunately a cast-iron skillet is as yet the ideal cooking vessel. Warming a huge cast-iron skillet in the stove while it preheats gives a singing hot surface to fresh the potatoes prior to adding the salmon. While the potatoes cook, the salmon scrubs down in a simple marinade that will twofold as cooking fat. The salmon and potatoes are bounty filling all alone, however assuming that you want a few greens, match this with a simple serving of mixed greens or trade half of the potatoes for Brussels sprouts.
